Market Drayton is a little market town in north Shropshire, England, near to the Welsh Border. It is on the River Tern, in the middle of Shrewsbury and Stoke-on-Trent, and was earlier known as "Drayton in Hales" (c. 1868) and prior essentially as "Drayton" (c. 1695). Market Drayton is on the Shropshire Union Canal and on Regional Cycle Route 75. The A53 street by-passes the town. The regions of Staffordshire and Cheshire are both close by. In 1965, frankfurter creator Palethorpe's constructed another manufacturing plant utilizing 400 individuals in the town. Acquired by Northern Foods in 1990, the organization was combined with Bowyers of Trowbridge, Wiltshire and Pork Farms of Nottingham to structure Pork Farms Bowyers.
